URGENT: Countryside care needed

Friday 1st September 2017
Only two flight planners

Robert Piller (right) does rant. But he has cause and solid research to back up his aweful, in-depth look at what's happening in the countryside. With no government plans to halt disappearing wildlife, the future looks very bleak indeed. If anyone thinks this is an exaggeration, ask when do you last remember a single government minister ever talk about real conservation and what's to be done to save our most precious resource?
The fact is it's never discussed. What's more they have no plans to turn things around. With everything in such an appalling state of disarray, it's far more convenient to push it all under the carpet, hoping no-one notices thing just aren't around any more.

Don't expect those charities to come to the rescue either, they also have no interest in putting things right, for too engaged in sucking up to the corporations for that. It's not as if things are perfectly fine or even half way there because they're not. When was the last time you saw a Song Thrush, other than as an occasional winter visitor, or in some remote corner of Britain. They were once a common garden bird but now they're nowhere to be found. Flocks of 200 Lapwings or more in the skies, Curlews and Golden Plovers flying overhead, look around, ask yourselves where have they all gone? Turtle Doves, Bullfinches and Linnets, and many others besides, all of them ghosts of the past that you will never or rarely see in the countryside of today.Below is a long and exhaustive list of precisely what's wrong and what's really happening in the countryside today. In this paper we present you the facts that most of the other organisations will shy away from.
