After Shed, Digital Design signs up for Glasgow Hub

Sunday 1st March 2009

Shed Productions, makers of the TV drama series, Footballers' Wives, has agreed to rent space in a new HQ for Glasgow-based creative businesses The Hub at the city's Pacific Quay. It is to take approximately 750 ft² at the waterfront building, on a five-year lease joining flagship tenant, the Digital Design Studio, which has already signed up to take 15,123 ft².

Completed just recently and offering flexible amounts of space from 127 ft² upwards - as well as flexible leases that will suit both larger companies and individual creatives  - The Hub says it is all about "building a seriously creative community at the heart of the new Digital Media Quarter on the banks of the River Clyde." As yet, however, it has no dedicated website.

Adds Donny McKinnon, director of developers, Downtown Space (also with no website) said “The whole ethos of The Hub is that we are building a new community where, ultimately, up to 50 businesses will be based, all benefiting from unparalleled opportunities to network with each other. To have two such prestigious creative organisations signed up as tenants already is a huge success both for The Hub and for Glasgow overall.”
