Does that mean more of them in the boardroom? Gaberlunzie notes that Brave, set in the Highlands of Scotland follows the advertures of the brave Mincess Merida, played by Kelly Macdonald, determined to confront Scottish tradition and destiny

Moveez.com reports that Lasseter, who spoke about the film at Disney'd D23 Expo, gave a few details

on Pixar's new fairytale, and explained it was one of a kind.

"This is totally unique, unlike any films we've made. It's our first fairytale, our first period film...and it's ourfirst female lead character, " he said.  “It's the most different film for Pixar.  A real challenge for us – the hair, the clothing.”

In order to make the computer-animated film as authentic as possible, Lasseter revealed Pixar artists were send to Scotland on two research trips in order to recreate the landscapes and costumes for the project.

Actress Kelly Macdonald, (right) who was present at the D23 expo, commented on being cast as Pixar's first female lead: "It's better than ok... It's like I was asked to play Woody."
