Friday is a good day for clearing up desks, sorting out emails and if there's any time - go on, it's when you can actually 'make' the stuff - play games. Gaberlunzie has lined you up a couple he thinks are great!

Gaberlunzie popped in to try to control the office forest fire that is the email inbox!! He notices that the French company Atos CEO Thierry Breton (who hasn't sent an internal email in three years! ) has decided to ban these as time-wasting and not a good communication stream, although his goal is focused on internal emails, rather than external emails with clients and partners.

To date Atos has already reduced the number of internal emails by 20% in six months.  Company reaction has been "positive with strong take up of alternative tools,” and that makes sense as among the young find Facebook, Instant Messaging and texting are far more popular for communicating. Those who have got stuck with email are dated!!

Though no denying it is still an extremely convenient way to communicate, so it's not likely to vanish. But there's no question that email is losing share of digital communications, including in the workplace.

Actually there were two pieces of perfect Friday play lined up for Gaberlunzie.  The first came from Baydin who run that system for delivering emails just when you need to and also for cleaning up your mailboxes.

Very apposite so Gaberlunzie invested about 20 minutes and got through a ton of the rubbish. Actually he finds that the new Gmail box split system is  useful, but insidiously not the most helpful because it allows you to put the 'maybe's dither' into a huge pile, and then  just battle with the ordinary stuff that comes in but still leaves you coping with that important, save to look at sector!!

Stickman however is something totally for playing!!

Go on said the email Gaberlunzie got from a friend, draw a stick man. You won't believe what happens when you do!! HERE

Gaberlunzie's art included two dogs and the end result was hilarious, as it is just what the two do to him every day!!

Have fun!
