Teknek expands in US, promotes in Europe

Servicing its growing customer based in the US, Teknek, the understated Glasgow giant in industrial contact cleaning, has set up a new sales and logistics centre in Charlotte, North Carolina this month As a result of David Westwood being promoted to the position of GM, Teknek USA at the company’s new sales and fulfilment facility, Douglas Gray has moved to the post of European sales manager.

Gray (right) has been an area sales manager at Teknek for the past four years withover 18 year’s industrial experience which was previously focused as sales director with Plastic Mouldings. He will be leading a high performance sales team selling Teknek’s market leading contact cleaning equipment to key industry sectors throughout Europe.

Stephen Mitchell, (left) Teknek MD said: “We are delighted that Douglas has accepted the position of European sales manager.  Not only has he a wealth of business and sales experience but he has accumulated substantial technical knowledge of yield improvement technology which will benefit our client base in Europe.”

Teknek equipment is employed world-wide in a variety of industries from semi-conductors to printing, improving yields and reducing wastage by removing contamination in critical production processes.
 
Pioneeringdevelopment of contact cleaning equipment 20 years ago, Teknek now claims global market leadership in the field with over 16,000 “clean machines” installed and estimates its technology has saved customers more than $2bn.
