Scottish space industry roadmap workshop

The UK space sector contributes £5.6bn to the economy and supports 68,000 jobs. The overall world market for the Space industry is likely to grow from £160bnin 2008 to at least £400bn by 2030.

Being run by A|D|S Scotland partner organisation the Technology Strategy Board and it’s Space Special Interest Group this workshop allow you to meet others engaged in the sector, hear at first hand the progress being made and contribute to the development of a National Space Technology Strategy.

The five key space sectors, market drivers and opportunities, UK capabilities and possible research themes have been developed have been identified as:

1. Telecommunications
2. Sensing
3. Position, Navigation and Timing
4. Robotics and Exploration
5. Access to Space

The critical sixth category is to spot the missing sector

If your company is interested in any of these sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to help explore, develop and shape the future opportunities for the UK space sector at the free workshop.
