Scotland's New Year honoured list

Saturday 31st December 2011
Professor Alan Bundy, James Holloway, Dr Tahir Ahmed Mahmood, and Ms Linda Urquhart. Four of the 51 people honoured in Scotland's New Year Honours List

One of the pleasures of a New Year is its Honours List. It is such a great celebration of the clever, talented, hardworking, charitable and amazing men and women who range across the human spectrum of work and life, from the well known Nobel prize winning Manchester Physics Professor team of Novoselov and Geim to those honoured for such skills as hairdressing, fashion, gymnastics, antarctic logistics, services to greyhounds, racing, golf, sailing and publishing. A lovely, lovely gallimaufrey list for browsing and admiring livewires.
