Inverness College, Lecture Room G20

Following on from the July evening seminar on Funding for micro-renewables: Grants, Feed in Tariffs and the Renewable Heat Incentive come two more in the series of three being run by the Sustainable Energy And Micro-renewables (SEAM) Centre at its Inverness College base. In a joint project with forest management partnership Highland Birchwoods, businesses can learn about the incentives available for producing their own heating and electricity.

The SEAM Centre was established at Inverness College UHI through support from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and the Scottish Government's Community And Renewables Energy Scheme (CARES) administered by Community Energy Scotland. The facility works with local businesses to support their entry to the small-scale renewable energy and low carbon market.

Andrew Patience, Senior Development Manager for HIE's Energy Team said: "Business and home owners can work to improve their green credentials by introducing a micro-renewable device to their building and generate an income by doing so."
