RAS National Astronomy meeting

More than 500 astronomers and space scientists are expected to gather at the annual Royal Astronomical Society National Astronomy Meeting (NAM 2010) that will take place at the University of Glasgow. This conference is one of the largest professional astronomy meetings in Europe and attracts researchers from across the world. It is held in conjunction with the UK Solar Physics (UKSP) and Magnetosphere Ionosphere and Solar-Terrestrial Physics (MIST) meetings.

Delegates at NAM 2010 will present the latest research results, in fields ranging from the impact of space weather on the Earth to planets around other stars and the way galaxies were shaped in the early Universe.
