Gaberlunzie was intrigued to discover that the iPhone and the Android markets have a Hurlingham Polo Association app, developed by Innov8ive Software Ltd. So he went and downloaded it to have a look.

"Welcome to the Hurlingham Polo Association," says the market blurb. "The Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA) is the governing body for polo in the UK, Ireland and many other countries throughout the world. As such, it is responsible for the regulations and rules under which the game is played. This includes the handicapping of any one playing in the UK or Ireland, and the fixtures list. The object of the HPA is to further the interests of polo generally and support by all possible means the common interests of its affiliated clubs and associations.

Search for members it urged! So he thought of the HRH Princes who must play polo and asked for Wales to be rewarded by both Harry and William and which are their clubs.

But, he does not think this is such a sound security policy from the HPA and a little less than fair on its members. Surely the prestigious member of the club do not need to be so open to scrutiny.  You could decide that you wanted to meet up with a polo playing lady. Yes, you can look them up, and see that three with a handicap of 2 will be playing at various fixtures.

Search for members, clubs, fixtures and a whole lot more.  It's the implication behind the whole lot more that adds the Wow factor!
