
The contract worth £6,8m began in February 2010 runs for three years with the option of extending for a further year, has been awarded by CGCoPE whose role it is to work with its central government partners to deliver advanced procurement across the sector.
NVT Group, headquartered in North Lanarkshire, will initially Transfer of Undertakings (employee rights) three staff from the previous incumbent and hire a further five new members to service the contract.
NVT will provide services from the outset for Scottish Government, Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, Scottish Court Service, Scottish Prison Service and National Galleries. Other central government organisations are expected to join the Framework since all are actively encouraged to use the contract as a means of improving quality and securing greater value for money.
