New appointments spring up

Edinburgh-based web software house, Money Dashboard, and two of Aberdeen's energy focused service companies Escape Business Technologies and Dynamic Edge Solutions are hiring and promoting advisers and staff.

Money Dashboard, Edinburgh-based software house this month announced it now supports Mac OS X having successfully completed testing on Mac OS X - specifically on version 10.6.3 (Snow Leopard) running Silverlight 3.

The company is reported by the Scotsman  to have added its fourth non-executive director, Laurie Dempster, (right)  founder of Albannach Financial Management and partner at Par Equity investment.

Gavin Littlejohn, (left) Money Dashboard's CEO is quoted daying: "His experience of our industry is invaluable and he has successfully grown a number of businesses in the SME sector."

Dempster also takes the company headcount to more than ten.

In Aberdeen, Escape Business Technologies which this year opened its Thurso office and expects to recruit three staff over the next 14 months  is reported to have promoted Graeme Niven to technical director. Having been with the firm for four years, he will be responsible for running VMWare and Citrix, two of the bigger products offered by Escape, which focuses on servicing the energy sector.

Director (left) Mike Bain says: "Graeme's promotion to technical director is richly deserved. He is a highly valued and hard-working member of the team and his expertise has played a critical role in helping Escape grow and become the success it is today."

Also in Aberdeen, Dynamic Edge Solutions has appointed Nick Pickering (left) as its business development manager. Pickering started his IT career with Shell Expro in Altens, thenworked for Hydro Electric and Computacenter before becoming a Microsoft email specialist with BT at in Ipswitch.

Moving into management, he became a trouble shooter, data centre re-locater and IT strategist, before moving back to Aberdeen to work for Technology Services Group and First eBusiness.

Pickering's specialist qualifications include certifications as a Cisco sales expert, VMWARE sales and technical sales professional and qualified project manager.
