Creative Choices joins forces with the University of West Scotland in March to host a free "interactive extravaganza" event. Both organisations will invite students, employers and practitioners to the event for a day of workshops with industry experts on small business start-up or freelancing, seminars on the music business and the performing arts on March 9th

The day promises all things creativity, with talks, a poetry corner, a speed pitching event and the launch of the first Scottish Video Games Archive.

Industry experts hope to inspire up-and-coming artists as well as offer an employability fair for students, featuring stands from employers, agencies and people from the creative industries.

Earlier this month, Andrew Dixon, (left) currently  CEO of the NewcastleGateshead Initative, having run it for the last five years, with 30 years experience working in a variety of fields within the arts, media and creative industries was appointed the new CEO for Creative Choices .

The online organisation  provides information and networking for individuals and businesses to work in the creative industries and cultural sector. The University of West Scotland has a dedicated school of Creative and Cultural Industries at its Paisley campus.
