ISC which began as a small conference in Mannheim in 1986, had to move from the university campus to a local conference center. As the conference program and exhibition continued to grow, ISC moved first to Heidelberg for several years, then in 2006 to Dresden. After three years of continued growth, the conference headed to Hamburg, where attendance has grown about 20 % each year.

Organised by SDS, in partnership with SWiT (Scotland Women in Technology) a conference was held today to encourage women and young people to consider a Technology sector career and more than 80 career professionals heard from speakers including Rhona Hutchon, director of Harvey Nash Scotland, and creative technologist Don McIntyre joined by graduates and Modern Apprentices from Dell, IBM, HP, Cisco and Oracle, who heard about the growing opportunities in the sector.
