“In five years the business has grown  out of my student flat and developed into a thriving SME employing 6 staff and turning over £350 000. It services over 50 small companies and has proved to be a very successful business model.

“The management franchise model we have will allow us to break into other geographical locations around the country and really take off as a national business.”

Proof of that puding comes with an attribute from a Glasgow organisation! "I am thrilled to know that all our critical data is in a safe place and it all happens without anyone having to think about it ever again," says Master Coach, Action Coach

robertson technologies works with customers that have up to 100 employees, and acts as their IT department. This allows customers to enjoy the IT expertise that robertson technologies offers, without having to employ a full time IT technician of their own.

While some of the work is carried out remotely, robertson technologies delivers the majority of its work onsite and guarantees customers that their own dedicated technician will spend a set amount of time in their offices each month. This ensures that problems are dealt with in situ, and also that upgrade and maintenance work can be carried out on an ongoing basis.

Over the course of 2010, the company aims to award six franchises and has one waiting for final sign off in the coming weeks.

“We have signed a deposit agreement with one potential franchisee in Fife and I am very hopeful that the operation will be up and running in the next six weeks. I also have advanced negotiations taking place with candidates in both Glasgow and Exeter,” says Robertson.

“By the time the National Franchise Exhibition in Birmingham comes around in October, we will already have attended a number of other events and showcased what we have to offer.

“It is a well-known fact that the SME sector will create the majority of new jobs and lead the UK out of recession in the months ahead. We aim to be part of that movement and in concluding six franchise agreements we hope to create around 30 jobs,” he adds.
