"Last year SAMW raised thousands of pounds for British Heart Foundation in memory of our colleagueSteve Dickson. Now we are showing our support by sponsoring the event and I hope that our donation to this year's charity auction will help to raise a significant amount of money,” says Rob Stephens, CEO Systems Integration.
The Staffordshire-based software and hardware supplier Systems Integration are a lead supplier of the meat processing industry with Integreater being an enterprise manufacturing execution system, also known as an e-MES.
The system ensures management have visibility to achieve greater accuracy, efficiency and traceability. It effectively holds a magnifying glass up to the processing cycle, so operators can see exactly what's going on and identify where they need to make improvements.
Established in 1992, founder and CEO Rob Stephens saw a gap in the market. As Group Operations Manager at a large meat processing plant, he had experienced problems with the available production management systems. He instigated the development of a new solution, which Tesco subsequently recommended to all of its meat suppliers.
The BSE crisis was a period of massive growth for the firm. Traceability legislation introduced to the meat sector, meant abattoirs and processors invested in the system to ensure compliance. With regulations for all food related products getting tougher each year, the company now works with a wide variety of producers.
With nearly 20 years of experience working for the meat sector, Systems Integration have customers in Europe, Canada and the USA .
