Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Scottish Government, this £17.6m project will double the amount of
public space within our unique Arts and Crafts building, the first purpose-built national portrait gallery in the world.
Working to a radical new Interpretation Strategy, we aim to transform the presentation of our world-class collections. With a provisional completion date of autumn 2011, building work is scheduled to commence in 2009.
We have already started to plan the content of our new displays and we are now looking for an experienced and imaginative design consultancy to help us create enjoyable, stimulating and visually stunning displays for our audiences.
