It comes on the heels of Green Data Systems (GDS)  co-founder and investor in Eco2dc , launching its highly energy efficient data centre in Deventer, the Netherlands in July.

Hitachi’s modular type data centre approaches are thought to be an effective solution for energy efficiency in data centres; therefore a partnership between Hitachi and GDS has been established to initiate the development of highly energy efficiency data centres, blade servers and security.

GDS is also partnered with CommVault, Brocade, Quantum, Caringo, Double-Take software, Diligent Technologies, IBM and Huawei Symantec Technologies.

Green Data Systems offers with its new Green Data Center in-a-box solutions 4 basic type solutions: 2 types 20' and 40’ shipping containers. The Green Data Center in-a-box are eco friendly, sustainable and customised with quality cooling, security, UPS and IT technology. Up to a maximum of 14 racks can be placed, generator place internal or externally and IT load maximized to 90Kw.
