Harris, with drummer Rikki Stixxx, bass Davey Planecrash, lead guitar Irving and keyboards Sean vs the robots, have been on tour at all the summer festivals including Glastonbury, which will have raised interest in his US debut release for Almost Gold Recordings this month.
According to Wikipedia, Harris began making music at 15 in his bedroom, his earliest success was when he was 18. The songs Da Bongos and Brighter Days were released as a 12" club single and CD-EP by the Prima Facie label in early 2002 under the name Stouffer. He signed a recording contract with EMI in 2006, after his music had been discovered on the social networking website MySpace.
Harris moved back from London, England to his hometown of Dumfries, Scotland because he was unable to find a job and only managed to release one song in 2003 with artist, Ayah. The song appears on The Unabombers' Electric Soul 2.
His first album I Created Disco was released on the 18th of June 2007. It contained uptempo electroclash songs influenced by music from the 1980s, and to promote the album he embarked on a tour of the UK, supporting Faithless and Groove Armada.
"Disco disappeared, didn't it? " says Harris. "Everyone got sick of it. Now I'm reviving it, with space goggles, or something."
"The song titles say it all," he explains. "My tunes aren't supposed to invoke deep thought within people; they're just to get you dancing. But musically it is for the brain - it's not music for stupid people. I take great pride in my productions. It's not knocked out in a few seconds."
The first release from the album was "Vegas" on limited edition vinyl and the first charted single released from the album was "Acceptable in the 80s", a tribute to the style and culture of the decade. The song reached the top ten on the UK singles chart, remaining on the chart for fifteen weeks.
This year Harris recorded with Kylie Minogue catching her attention after his recordings had been passed on to her by another record producer He says that working with her was "surreal, but fun" He is also recently credited as being the producer in The Mitchell Brothers song "Michael Jackson"
