Opus Technologies, manufacturer of entertainment systems has introduced a fully
customisable touchscreen keypad. Designed to seamlessly control both the Opus 500 system and a number of third party lighting and other smart home products the stunning WCU600 keypad is even able to display video from DVD, TV or CCTV systems and the on screen menus of audio/video servers, iPod docks and more.

The high contrast backlit hi-resolution colour screen can display  16m colours and is fully  customisable for individual use.   The WCU600 reconciles the often difficult compromise  between technological ability and ease of use for the home owner making it a true smart home gateway  and sets a new industry standard for performance at a suggested retail price of £490.
 
 Key features include:-
• Full control of the Opus 500 system via the 3.5” high contrast, hi-resolution 24-bit colour touchscreen (320 x 240 resolution – 16m colours) 
• Generates RS232 control commands via Master Control Unit (MCU500)/Serial Control Unit
(SCU500) for control of a wide range of third party lighting systems, servers, heating systems, source equipment etc.
• Built in local RS232 connector for additional control of third party products local to each keypad
• Fully backwards compatible with existing Opus 500 systems and retro fittable to replace existing WCU500 keypads
• Full programming ability allows easy installer set-up and customisation for full personalisation of buttons, colours, backgrounds etc.
• Compatible with jointly developed Opus/Imerge ‘HotSpot’ facility
• Cat5 video input for playback on display of selected source equipment
• Additional local video input 
• Built in hidden wide angle IR receivers with full IR pass-through allow full remote control of all  system functions and control of third party source components via remotes
• Additional IR connector allows addition of an external IR receiver if desired
• Door entry system and CCTV feeds can be viewed on keypad
