Amazingly Gaberlunzie, who doesn't qualify as a CORGI engineer, was sent an email offering him the job of Nuclear Safety Case Manager. He suspects its because he's interested in Scottish jobs, but is pleased to note how UK-wide this one is with locations in: Cumbria, Oxfordshire, Cheshire or Scotland. That really looks civilised as does the salary: circa £55,000 plus benefits. Wonder if it involves submarines? Carpe Diem

One of the leading figures in the UK Nuclear industry is currently looking to recruit a Manager for their Safety Case projects. This position has arisen due to an increase in the number of projects they currently conduct around the world, where nuclear development goes on.

The Role
As Nuclear Safety Case Manager you will be responsible for the management and production of safety cases. These will be on a variety of projects, both decommissioning and engineering. This will involve managing multiple project teams of safety engineers. You will also be involved in assisting and supporting external bid applications>

The Person
You should have a degree in a relevant discipline. (Not a BA he would wager!) You must also have had experience of producing safety cases within a highly regulated industry, ideally Nuclear (though medical might do one supposes). You should also have delivered "fit for purpose" documentation, have good knowledge of current legislation and ideally have lead teams of safety case writers. Any project management qualifications would be an advantage.
