developing the customer base, and customers like the simplicity of the pre-paid ticket system for parcel delivery. This business offers unique opportunities both for Palletsnparcels and Bullet Express.
"Bullet Express was built on its IT platform, and through our software we can offer a better level of service for Palletsnparcels' customers by aligning package delivery alongside our own offering.
Palletsnparcels is now looking to rapidly expand its network of franchise drivers, and McCutcheon is confident the company will achieve blanket Scottish coverage by the end of 2010. In its first six weeks, it secured 400 customers across central belt.
"We have a buy-in for new area franchisees who have to agreed to a minimum of 10 weeks and they pay a £5000 plus VAT as an upfront fee to buy their run, effectively," said McCutcheon, adding, "But what we do is then pay them £500 plus VAT each week back to them for 10 weeks, and that is really all about loyalty - if its not for them after 10 weeks, they've not lost their money."
