EMRS & SEAS Defence technologies conference

The EMRS and SEAS Defence Technologies Committees will jointly holding their annual technical conferences at which the work of two DTCs will be disseminated. at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre running in parallel.The conferences share common ticketing and organisation and a joint opening plenary session. Delegates will be able to move freely between the sessions of the two conferences choosing from among approximately 80 technical papers. The conferences include a joint exhibition, poster displays, a series of technology demonstrations, a joint networking reception and an optional conference dinner on the evening of Tuesday 7th July.

The event is being sponsored by Scottish Enterprise. The scope of this combined event is evident from the technical breadth of the research themes of these two £30m research programmes:

Over the last six years the DTC conference has grown to become the largest annual defence science conference in the UK - by delegate numbers, numbers of technical papers and by number of exhibitors. To quote one senior MOD official, "the DTC conference is the best networking event for the UK defence science community on the calendar".

The conferences should be attended by potential research providers and exploiters, as well as the the broad military and civil sensing & autonomous systems and systems engineering communities.
