News from this organisation is that drivers across the UK are currently seeking ways to reduce the impact of rising fuel costs, with over 300 new members a day have been signing up to the liftshare network. 
Motorists who share their daily journey with just one other person are already saving an average of £1,000 a year in petrol costs - a figure which looks set to keep rising - and we have seen a steep increase in drivers signing up as petrol prices show no signs of coming down. The new registrations have taken the overall membership of the liftshare network to more than 230,000.
"The number of new members registering has increased every month this year, but May has seen a dramatic surge on previous months," said Ali Clabburn. "Car-sharing has numerous advantages - financial, environmental, social - but right now it is above all those being hit most by the fuel prices who are recognising its potential value in their own daily lives."

Gaberlunzie equipped with a young lurcher, ("ah, a proper dog" as someone put it) desperately needs a locally based walker with a fast running dog, who could share car trips to empty spaces and let the dogs exercise themselves, while the humans walk and talk!
