Lockerbie data centre plan unaffected

Ernst and Young have been appointed to try to save the business R&D Construction and its parent company Robison & Davidson (Holdings) Based in Dumfries, the construction company has been in doubt for several days after staff were left unpaid and told not to turn up for work.



R&D is a major housing renewal programme contractor in the south west of Scotland reports Business7 being funded by Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership, Scottish government and the local council. The company employs 220 staff and believed to have 200 sub-contractors on its books.

It is understood a £950m plan to build a 250,000m2 data centre on land outside Lockerbie is not affected by the administration, as the development is being handled by a subsidiary company which is not in financial trouble.
